Programs and strategies
The Higher School of Civil Aviation, subordinated to the Ministry of Transport, will create the necessary infrastructure for the first facility in Romania equipped with complete flight simulators type FFS intended for the training and preparation of pilots.
It will also be the first complete flight simulator for the Boeing 737 NG in Eastern Europe. The new simulator will give young pilots the opportunity to specialize in one type of aircraft, namely Boeing 737 NG, very widespread worldwide.
The value of the investment amounts to 63 million lei, and for this project several sources of financing are taken into account.
The benefits of building this training center are:
- developing the basic activity of the Higher School of Civil Aviation and facilitating the organization of training courses at the highest international standards;
- generating additional income for the Higher School of Civil Aviation;
- placing Romania on the international market of training service providers for aeronautical personnel;
- lower pilot training costs for air carriers based in Romania;
- creating new jobs.
